"I don’t think about it often because what’s done is done. My life has been a series of contradictions and a lot of questioning and learning that all brought me to this very point. I never had many girl friends growing up. Only 1 or 2, even through my school years. So, my life was basically one big dude soup with a lot of twisted logic and ignorance toward my own gender. Not to mention the fact that I just wasn’t comfortable in my own shoes as a teenage girl. And I don’t regret it, in the least. I’m just glad I’ve grown up and I’m glad I’m not as ignorant as I once was. Also, I’m proud to be a woman. That feeling is such a good feeling to find."
